The Hydrogen Generator type BP (low pressure)
Founded in 1965, this kind of hydrogen generator used gas holder at 35mb pressure as hydrogen storage. The hydrogen gas was drawn off directly at the gas holder outlet and its volume was calculated depending of the needs.
Considering of the increasing number of sounding, the « BP » technology was not offering any more possibility seeing the storage volume limited by the gas holder. Therefore, it has been decided to add a compressor in order to increase the hydrogen gas storage volume capacity.
This new technology used since 1979 has allowed to reduce significantly the size of the equipments and offers a large range of hydrogen generators. Since 1994, all the hydrogen generators series « BP MP » are skid mounted ; the control system is fully electronic and the cooling is through natural air.
